This was a very different and very fun project. The pixel brush tool (third party extension in Animate CC) was used quite a bit as you could probably guess. I used a DS emulator and played Pokemon Soul Silver on my computer, and captured many screenshots. I didn't have time to play the entire game, so I used a lot of Action Replay cheat codes to cheat my way to various areas that would've taken a lot of time to reach otherwise. Luckily there are many resources out there that made this a lot easier. Bulbapedia was used to get the backgrounds as well as reference animations for the various Pokémon moves, there are people who extracted the different sprites for all the Pokémon as well as all the different NPCs in the game.
